One, two, three, three "baby" closely followed the mother and "squeezed" in front of the camera … Recently, the monitoring personnel of Suiyang Bureau of Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park Administration in Laoyeling, Changbai Mountain, while sorting out the far-infrared camera data at the beginning of the year, found a picture of a mother tiger strolling with three cubs at four different monitoring points five times. According to experts’ appraisal, this is the first Northeast Tiger family photographed in the wild in our province since the pilot system of Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park.

According to reports, a litter of Siberian tigers can generally give birth to 2~4 cubs. Due to the natural living environment in the wild, it is very rare to survive 3 cubs. Through video identification, Zhou Shaochun, an associate researcher at the Provincial Wildlife Research Institute, told the reporter, "These three cubs should be around half a year old and very healthy, which is very rare. Using the video obtained from this monitoring and the image data photographed many times in the previous research to compare the individual patterns of tigers, it is also determined that this female tiger with three cubs is one of the three settled tigers photographed many times in this area. Ten years ago, there were only 4 to 5 Siberian tigers in Suiyang Bureau and its surrounding areas. In the eyes of Zhou Shaochun, a senior researcher of the Northeast Tiger, the increase in the "stock" of the Beastmaster in this area indicates that the pilot work of the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park system has achieved fruitful results, and it is also the achievement of solidly promoting the construction of ecological civilization in the Longjiang Forest Industry Forest Region after the logging suspension.

As early as 2011, Suiyang Forestry Bureau actively promoted the construction of Northeast Tiger Nature Reserve. Over the years, the local area has not only won the title of "the hometown of the Northeast Tiger in China" and "the hometown of the Northeast Leopard in China", but the more and more frequent traces of the Northeast Tiger and the Northeast Leopard are the affirmation of the local ecological and animal protection work.

In 2017, some application areas of Suiyang Bureau, Tokyo City Bureau and Muling Bureau of forest industry system were included in the pilot area of Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park system. In 2018, video images of wild Amur tiger were taken in the Shiye District of Erzhan No.2 Forest Farm in Zhangguangcailing, west of Tokyo City Bureau, and traces of wild Amur tiger activities were also found in the area of Struggle Management and Protection Station in Laoyeling, east of Tokyo City Bureau. In addition, in recent years, more than half of the 23 forestry bureaus under Longjiang Forest Industry Group have seen the tiger and leopard.
