Batman IP is timeless. Where is our Batman?

Special feature of 1905 film network The annual blockbuster "New Batman" is coming!Since 1939.BatBatmanSince DC comics first appeared and serialized, Batman has been over 80 years old, and there are countless TV dramas and animation works related to it, which continue to be popular all over the world.

Since Batman’s first feature film in 1966, Batman’s one-man film series has undergone nine remakes, with multiple actors performing, and the image of Batman has become darker and darker from the initial funny style.

"New Batman" created a young version of Batman’s face, explored his growth and changes with detective suspense stories, and presented a melancholy and profound Batman that had never been seen in the film history.

When Batman IP lasts for a long time, on the other hand, domestic movies have been changed. Where is our "Batman"?

These years are either "takenism", such as "Animal World" adapting geographically similar Japanese cartoons; Either the adapted domestic local cartoons are all minority types of reality, love and youth, which is difficult to become a climate in the market.

If you go from "fuck off!" Since tumor jun, plus Take My Brother Away and Daily Fantasy Guide, only three live-action movies based on Guo Man have been released in the past seven years, and the number is very few, and the creation is lonely.

Although "fuck off!" Tumor jun and Take My Brother Away have both made box office sales, and Take My Brother Away has even expanded the fans of the original comic book, but it is not a popular movie type in China.

However, this situation and predicament may soon usher in a turning point.

Last March, Kuaikan Comics, which has more than 10,000 comic works, reached a strategic cooperation with Alibaba Pictures, and planned to make three comic films together, among which Jasmine was the first selected film. In addition, an original essay contest will be held, and the winning projects will also have the opportunity to shoot live-action movies.

The industrial chain operation, which has been lacking industrialization and institutionalization in IP development, is expected to be improved.

Iqiyi and Light Media have decided to jointly produce the Mangai live-action drama "Dali Temple Log", which is a kind of domestic antique case-solving comic with super popularity. After the animated version was launched, it scored 9.9 and 9.2 in bilibili and Douban respectively.

After the official announcement of "Dali Temple Journal" to create a drama series, especially the casting of white cat Shao Qing Li cake has attracted much attention. If the drama version is successful, it is also likely to be cinematic.

Tencent’s first-line animation IP "Fox Demon Little Matchmaker" and "My name is Bai Xiaofei" (comic "Brother Corpse") will be adapted from live movies. The most anticipated is "Under One Man" by the first echelon of Guoman, which will produce both a live-action drama version and a movie version.

The online cartoonist Mi Er’s original "Under One Man" has the potential to be adapted into an explosive film. Comic story takes place in modern times, which has elements that young people like, and also contains profound traditional culture of China. Feng Baobao, Chulan Zhang and other characters have different abilities, and they combine fantasy, action, youth, comedy and other types, and their world outlook is complex and huge.

"Under One Man" can be said to be a comic book that is very close to Marvel and DC in China at present. Wu Ershan, the director of "Searching for Dragons" and "Gods", is going to make three series of films, with great ambitions.

Jia-nan Ran, the screenwriter of the trilogy, once revealed that she thinks that the creation of Under One Man is more difficult than that of the trilogy, with a complex world outlook and many characters, and it is very challenging to balance the relationship between movies and comics.

The network head film industry has entered the market and changed the market, with frequent actions. The comic film universe in China is about to start, with a long way to go.

Compared with movies, domestic diffuse reforms are more concentrated on online drama platforms. From 2015 to now, more than 20 domestic online dramas have been broadcast, mainly in fantasy love. However, the core audience is mainly fans of the original comics and young actors, and it is difficult to break the circle.

Compared with the United States and Japan, domestic comics started late, with a small circle and a shallow comic culture. American superhero comics have accumulated a large number of IP that have been tested by the market for Hollywood to develop. Avengers 4 still ranks in the top ten in the box office of China’s film history, and its influence can be seen.

Looking back at the domestic diffuse-changed live-action movies, in the golden age of Hong Kong films, Hong Kong diffuse once let the diffuse-changed movies enter a prosperous period.

Since the 1970s, Hong Kong local cartoonists Xu Guanwen, Ma Rongcheng, Huang Yulang, Feng Zhiming and others’ comic works have been made into movies, which are combined with the types of martial arts films made in Hong Kong.

During this period, live-action movies such as Shake the Weird Stick, Uncle Cai’s Total Armageddon, Tathagata’s Palm, Modern Tathagata’s Palm, Sword Laughing, The Wind and Cloud Dominate the World, man called hero, The Professor 2001 and Dragon Humen were born, which played the characteristics of Hong Kong’s movies.

Director Liu Weiqiang is keen on reform, and The Storm Dominates the World is one of his masterpieces. On the basis of Ma Rongcheng’s "Fengyun" cartoon, the film was made with computer special effects for the first time. In the 1990s, when high technology was not yet developed, it opened up a new mode of comic martial arts movies and became the local box office champion.

The later TV series of the same name of "The Storm Dominates the World" is equally popular. The success of the film also prompted Liu Weiqiang to continue directing the film man called hero, and action drama and special effects are still the highlights.

If Bu Jingyun, Nie Feng and Hua Hero belong to China’s traditional costume superheroes, then comic fan Tsui Hark’s adaptation of Lezhida’s comic "Black Xia" has produced China’s first modern superhero movie imitating the West.

Comics and movies set the black mask+black, obviously referring to the images of Batman and Green Hornet. Tsui Hark also restored the dark style of the original, and made new ideas with martial arts films and a sense of technology. However, after Black Xia, there are no such superhero movies in China.

In addition to the sudden change of action types, there were Hong Kong-made films adapted from comic books such as 100% Feeling, Left and Right, Subway, etc. However, the volume, type and audience can’t compare with the explosion of the whole people.

From "fuck off!" From "tumor jun" to "Under One Man", which is being developed now, the adaptation of domestic comics into live-action movies is still in the initial exploration stage, and the lack of local comic resources and the sluggish industry are still the restrictive factors.

However, based on the cultural and film environment differences, in fact, we don’t need to blindly follow the trend to imitate the form of foreign films. Starting from the source of the works, as long as there are more high-quality national romances that are in line with the story of China and the characteristics of China and are widely acclaimed, then the domestic romances will have a real chance of rising.
