China news agency, Paris, December 15 (Reporter Yang Li) France resumed the curfew on the 15th local time to cope with the COVID-19 epidemic. French Prime Minister Castay said on the same day that it was impossible to determine when the restaurant would reopen because the epidemic was still going on.

According to the French official arrangement, people will no longer need a travel certificate to travel during the day from the 15th. However, due to the resumption of the curfew on the 15 th, people still need travel certificates when they go out during the curfew. The official said that the inspection during the curfew period will be strengthened, and those who violate the curfew or do not bring travel certificates will face punishment.
Since France was unable to reach the goal of "unblocking" the number of newly confirmed cases in a single day to less than 5,000 on the 15th, the government made substantial adjustments to the "unblocking" scheme. After France resumed the curfew on the 15th, the curfew time will start at 8 pm and end at 6 am the next day. There will be no curfew on Christmas Day, but it will still be imposed on New Year’s Eve on December 31st. France imposed a curfew in October, when the curfew period was from 9 pm to 6 am the next day.
French Prime Minister Castay said on the 15th that if the epidemic situation did not improve after the Christmas and New Year holidays, he could not guarantee that restaurants and cafes would reopen on January 20th next year. He said that it is uncertain when the restaurant will reopen.
Restaurants and cafes have been closed for one and a half months since France implemented the second national "city closure" on October 30. Castay said that the closure of the relevant sites was a "heartbreaking" decision, but it was necessary to control the epidemic. He said that many European countries have made similar decisions.
Castay pointed out that when the restaurant will reopen will depend on "all of us" and how people spend the Christmas and New Year holidays safely. He warned that holiday celebrations may help accelerate the spread of the virus, so people must be jointly responsible for their actions.
In addition, the French government has decided that museums, theaters, cinemas and other cultural places cannot be reopened on the 15th, and this opening time may be postponed until January next year. Castay said that he will evaluate whether cultural venues can be reopened with the Minister of Culture and others on January 7 next year.
According to the epidemic data released by the French Ministry of Health on the evening of 15th, there were 11,532 new confirmed cases in France on the 15th, and the cumulative confirmed cases were close to 2.4 million, accounting for 2,391,447 cases. There are 59,072 deaths in COVID-19, with 790 new deaths.
